Pasco's 12 to 24 foot apron, not Hernando's rules
The county park and all three public schools inside the community use "Spring Hill, FL 34610" mailing addresses, and the ZIP codes in the community run across 34610, 34667 and 34669. Don't let the mail fool you into Hernando County rules. It is an unincorporated Pasco County community. The Building Construction Services office in New Port Richey handles the permit, and the Hernando apron guidelines don't apply.
That changes the apron numbers. Pasco's Driveway Connection Permit asks for an apron at least 12 feet and no more than 24 feet wide at the road with 3-foot flared ends. It also wants written approval for any work in the right-of-way and completion within 180 days. Both counties are compared in our Hernando and Pasco concrete permit guide. Everything else we pour here is on concrete contractors in Shady Hills.
Pricing a 120 foot driveway as well as a 26 foot one
The community covers 74 square kilometers of land, the largest land area of the six Pasco communities we checked for this site, and 15.5 percent of residents lived in rural areas at the 2020 Census. A driveway can be a short pad beside a manufactured home or a long run from the road to a house set back on acreage. The same broom-finish range of $8 to $14 per sq ft covers each:
| Driveway | Area | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Short pad, 12 by 35 ft | 420 sq ft | $3,360 to $5,880 |
| Two-car, 22 by 30 ft | 660 sq ft | $5,280 to $9,240 |
| Long rural run, 14 by 120 ft | 1,680 sq ft | $13,440 to $23,520 |
A typical two-car pour of 500 to 700 sq ft comes to $4,000 to $9,800. A long run is mostly square feet, but reaching it adds cost. A truck has to get down the lane, and the concrete has to be placed before it stiffens. A long driveway can also need a joint plan and a stop for a second truck. Those items go on the estimate as lines, and the concrete driveway cost guide explains how to read them. You get a free written estimate after we walk the lot.
